macao day 4-6 : gary bdays

31 jan - G's birthday celebrations

went to town today =) G & S showed us how to take a bus from our place to across the bridge to macao main island and we took a nice slow walk around town and eventually ending up at st. paul's cathedral. it would have had been very nice but being a weekend, there were a million gazillion people all around (refer picture), making it practically impossible to walk or enjoy ourselves - pushing, shoving and squeezing doesn't sound too good does it? so we finally gave up and took a walk around towards the hotels and casinos - we visited wynn - then we went to the ferry terminal to pick V up! cuz he finally got the "approval" to come over! yay! after picking V up, we got back to the house and G + S went out for dinner with some friends, V went to venetian to hit the tables and we stayed at home and cooked dinner (yes, yeo's curry chicken in a can) and got ready. G & S came back, got changed and we all went out to celebrate G's birthday. many people met us at lion's bar at MGM - A + gf + F + godson + AM + lots of other people i forgot the names of. haha~ AM was so nice cuz he had extra points from MGM and he changed ferry tickets for us to go HK. (we didn't even ask or mention) i feel so grateful cuz he's so warm and hospitable and treated us like family right from the start. thanks AM! you are the best!

so after one crazy nite at MGM (V + S lost 5 digit figures at the tables), we all proceeded to AIA building where 2 clubs sat - D2 and Cubix. we went with AM and V to D2 for a while, but met everyone at Cubix. oh it was awful. met N(fellow singaporean working now at MGM) + friends there and he was completely nuts dancing (yes on the podium too). there was super bad music, which really dragged the mood down, and russian girls (dancers and working girls) everywhere. the seats were poorly placed and beats were lousy, tracks were disorganised and jumping from one to another without flow. all in all, very disappointing. so after that, we took a walk and we all went back to MGM for breakfast. in the end, some of us came back earlier, the rest stayed on to try the tables again. i got home and leaped happily back to bed =)

1 jan - eve of G's birthday
we all woke up super late after last nite's adventure. we found V sound asleep at 10am, but he was gone by 1pm to go to MGM since he managed to get a complimentary room. he had to wait for a long time to get checked in, but all was worth it, cuz he got upgraded free to the suite (with kitchen + living room + the works!) lucky!!! apparently S + G were up too, but they were in the room doing work and preparing for G's big-ass presentation due the next day. eventually we went out to the supermarket to top up groceries and when we got back, they were up and about in the house. we decided to cook dinner for everyone cuz we got spices and stuff to beef up our er... yeo's curry chicken and some canned cuttlefish sambal thingy. it didn't turn out too badly... infact it came out quite decent. haha...

after dinner, i think G + S had a slight tiff and G got dressed in a hurry and left to look for V at MGM and he mentioned going to D2. S was adament about not going and insisted she would stay home. we thot we'd join G once he found V but he didn't for a long time. by the time he found V, it was so late and finally we decided to stay home instead. (no point going out at 2am!) we stayed home and chatted and Z was mending the electrical breakdowns at home like an ad-hog handyman and i blissfully chilled out on the sofa downloading music. G hung out with V all the way and finally got home just before 6am. we chatted a while more then went to bed. ack! another late nite!

2 feb - G's birthday
ok so today's the big day. there was supposed to be this big lunch presentation thing that G had but it was postponed! yay! so S managed to get a complimentary room for G's birthday by exchanging her points and they took all afternoon to get ready, packed and headed over to MGM. they got the junior suite and invited us over, but we decided to give them some alone time and only went over much later. we had dinner at home, a simple one though - left over curry chicken, i made fishball soup and fried ham and almost made it taste like luncheon meat. haha... after dinner, we got ready and headed over to MGM with mixers and music and started the party in G's room. we had fun chatting and hanging out till N + friends came over and then we all headed to D2 at 3am. oh yeah, clubs only start happening at 3am by the way. the music was better here and we really started having a good time.

everyone was dancing and they had shows there, with different themes - macho men, arabian dancers, fire eaters. all in all, it was a small club but we had quite a good experience there. i didn't think we were going clubbing, i only thot we'd be partying in the suite, so i wore boots out instead of heels. but as well i did, cuz the ugg boots were so warm and so comfortable and so so so amazing to dance in. i had such a great time with no signs of tired or sore feet afterwards. i think i'm addicted to this no-heels dancing thing. haha! by the way, did i mention for the millionth time, i love love love my uggs? best buy in 2008! =) S + G went off at abt 4ish back to MGM to enjoy the suite, and the rest of us stayed on and partied till 6plus. by the time i got home, i was so tired the world seemed fluffy and i collapsed on the bed instantly.

f-ing pissed

so f-ing pissed with these stupid people who think they're so great. your time is passed idiots. you're always looking back to the past but guess what f-er? this is now! and i'm the next generation, living the life now, not like you guys living reminiscing about the past all the time. f-off and stop telling me you know everything, cuz all you know is about the scenes 15years ago. we're in 2009 dude. wake up and look around you. you're so back dated. just f-off!

p/s: macao day 3

so i thot we'd be sleeping early tonite... well, we did, napped for a while i mean. and it's 330am now - and we're all awake, just cooked and finished eating rice and curry chicken (thank god i found a can of yeo's chicken curry) and we're now all in the living room and everyone's talking and laughing. this is so so crazy but G & Z are so pumped up telling the funniest, most ridiculous stories, so i guess it's good after all =) and i giess we're not going to bed anytime soon. haha~

we had a slight misunderstanding just now but G was kinda peeved for a bit just now. boy! he's scary when he's fierce. but i don't like him like that. i was pretty spooked. i'm glad it's all over now. phew!

macao days 1-3 : welcome to party centro!

28th Jan 09
  • arrived safe and sound in macao airport, got our luggage and met up with G by about 8pm
  • got to the taxi stand and there was a freaking long queue cuz apparently there are so many customers and lesser people driving (due to CNY) that no cabs would bother driving into the airport and would rather pick from the roads
  • G called S and she appeared in a cab to come get us - yay! we get to the house and put down our stuff (we're staying with G & S)
  • S tells us we have a steamboat dinner to go to with her friends and they're waiting for the call to let us know what time to get ready by
  • phone rings and a friend is drving over to pick us in 10 min
  • unbelievable rush to freshen up and dig for some nice clothes and we're finally ready in 20 min
  • drove over to macao island (we're staying at taipa) and met some friends for dinner
  • then went over to MGM (hotel + casino) cuz S booked a table for us - great table right in front of the band which was rather good
  • went round the casino to see everything and Z tried his luck at the slots machine while S hit the tables (S's nick is queen of gambling by the way) we made a couple of hundreds playing on and off tonite
  • partied & were introduced to lotsa people till 5am
  • then went to the hotel restaurant for food cuz S played enuf to change for voucher
  • went back to house
  • sat around the living room chatting till 1030am
  • finally decided to go to bed (considering we barely got any sleep the night before packing and getting everything for the trip)
29 Jan 09
  • woke up at 4 and showered and by the time i got ready and came out of the room, everyone was up and we chatted and had breakfast
  • chilled out all nite, chatting and catching up with everyone
  • 11pm - went out and took a long walk to play fireworks. packs and boxes of firecrackers and fireworks were sold by the roadside at the designated place by the water
  • played rockets with big and small fireworks (think NDP) - kinda dangerous cuz there would be fire sparks and ashes falling down or fireworks backfiring
  • went to macs and i had a strawberry milkshake. yay!
  • went to venetian to take a look and play a little. Z lost but S won this time
  • took a tour around venetian - it's big, gorgeous and beautifi; - hope to go there one full day to enjoy the place
  • everyone was stoned and tired - decided to have an early nite and reached home at 3am
  • talked, chatted again till 7am =(
30 Jan 09
  • chill out day, resting and eating in
  • went to explore the area around us and went to 4 supermarkets to stock up with interesting food
  • went to bank to change HKD
  • staying indoors today - blogging and emailing =) tmr will start bright and early if we can all help it! =)

zzZZzzzzZZzzz

woke up at 9am to rush out for my appointments, which i had to beg for by the way. met an awful cab driver who completely spoilt my morrning on my way to wheelock place. thank god i made it in time for my brow tweezing and brazillian waxing today. can you imagine they were fully booked all week and i had to put all my haggling skills to use in order to secure these appointments, though they were at such an unearthly hour? *urgh*

after the appointments, my perfect lesson timings were changed (sigh what's new?) and so i decided to get some groceries and come home for a short break. but now that i've reached home, i kinda am feeling a little too lazy to go out and teach again later. hahaha... i am totally incorrigible!

oh just to side track a little, i got myself a new luggage bag yesterday. it's grey/silver from elle, completely hard case, 29" and 4 wheel trolley. it's so huge i could stuff everything in there (in the past, i would travel with 2 check in bags, 1 trolley luggage 25" and a carrier). strangely, it's so spacious that i suspect i would unwittingly end up with an overload, but it also means i have much more opportunities to over shop too! wicked! =)

Your Personality at 35,000 Feet Is Thoughtful and Contemplative

Deep down, you prefer spending time alone to spending time with others. You enjoy thinking more than talking.

You are good with your place in the world. You are confident and comfortable with who you are.

Your gift is dreaming and imagining. You can take yourself to another world anytime you feel like it.

You are inspired by what is possible. Real life is often too ordinary for you.

It's very easy for you to feel happy. You can find peace with any situation.

steamboat dinner =)

so i've always lamented and wondered about the fact that everyone seems to have steamboat dinner except for my family - we have the many dishes with rice type cny dinner. ok it's not really a complaint, cuz i am thankful we get food, but in the recent years i've always sorta wanted to experience steamboat, like everyone else seems to have during this time of the year.

so since by fluke i'm at home tonite, i've decided to put some of the new year shopping to good use and cook steamboat (my style) for dinner. but afterall, since i'm going to be the only one eating, i only have myself to please, rite? haha~

so i'll be doing 2 soup versions - tom yam seafood (chilli chilli chilli please) and chicken galore (all things chix) with nice bee hoon and a generous heap of ingredients! *yummy*
it feels so good dipping a huge ladle into either of the 2 pots and scooping out dinner into a big bowl and serving it up!

ok i know it feels a tad lonely, but i think i'm making the most out of living alone and really enjoying it for all it's worth! =) and yes, it's going to be a satisfying dinner!

travel bugged!

the travel bug has bitten! ever since my last trip to SH, i find myself running away to macau in a week's time and considering going to BKK next half of the year, since there are such cheap tickets! (jetstar offering $28 to fly BKK including taxes - incredible rite?)

i'm not sure if this is reflecting my love for traveling and culture, or am i just distracting myself and running away?

CNY shopping

i've always described myself as non traditional and not chinese and i really don't care much for the traditional ideals that my elders have always nagged about. today i was at NTUC and suddenly i realised that something were missing. i didn't have fish, meat, prawns in my fridge. now why did i think that since those stuffs were never staples in my fridge after all? well, it's cuz my mom would always stock up on these essentials every time it gets close to CNY and i guess these things were deeply embedded in me a lot more than i realised.

so i got myself some unconventional stuff that still sorta fulfilled the requirements.
1. fish tofu
2. prawn balls
3. chicken balls
5. meatloaf slices
6. chicken sausages
7. prawn dumplings - oh i overheard some girls talk about making dumplings for cny and realised that although my family has never had this custom, i kinda think it's nice and would like to have some in my soups =)

i also got nice prune lapis from bengawan solo the other day, so i think i'm all set for new year! hmm... yeah, other than having to put together big angpaos for the elders. i'm going to be so broke! *sighs*

miracle on hudson river

just saw this on the news and here's the summary of the disaster that happened.

a US Airways Airbus A320 bound for Charlotte, N.C., struck a flock of birds during takeoff minutes earlier at LaGuardia Airport and with both engines out, a cool-headed pilot maneuvered his crowded jetliner over New York City and ditched it in the frigid Hudson River on Thursday. the miracle? all 155 on board were pulled to safety as the plane slowly sank.

isn't this amazing? the pilot, Sullenberger reacted calmly and was described as gliding on the river and using the river as his runway. some passengers had minor injuries but there were no casualties. much love to all the people on board, and i'm so glad that you're all safe! =)

sunny saturday

it was a windy day with the sun beating down on us, relentless and unyielding, undoubtedly one of the hottest days of the new year yet. and what's more amazing? well, i was up at 730! =) the wonders would never cease! haha...well, i had a super busy day yesterday, but it was time well spent i would say.

i met dear at 10am at bedok interchange for breakfast since i really wanted to see her before she runs off, and she had such limited time left so we decided to do saturday morning with macs breakfast - dear decided that hotcakes sounded good and we discovered something wonderful - for $1 more, you could add eggs to the hotcakes and sausage meal, making it like a complete big breakfast except you have 3 hotcakes and no muffin. fantastic way to start off the day!

then we had big and long hug before dear had to start her quests for trail slippers and some purchases, and i had to run off to meet F to run some errands, and he was so so so kind to offer to send me to parkway and back - i am forever grateful! public transport would have held me back a good 2 hours on the roads. and in 2 hours, we finished our errands successfully and had a chill out coffee/tea at starbucks @ parkway and i even managed to get a light coat for my macau trip at over 60% discount cuz they were clearing off the goods from the autumn/winter collections. lucky me! it's a completely black trench coat, very slim cut for wearing over dresses. was $229 but i got it at $87. happiness!~~~ i will be stylish in macau then! cuz my winter coats are trusty but a little over the top for the not so cold weather of macau, so i was kinda worried i'd come off looking like some country bumpkin who had no other clothes to wear but my 0 degree gear. now i will be suitably dressed! yay! =)

then after dropping off everything, thanks F again, i went to visit my grandma for a while and chilled out with them at home for a bit. apparently mom and grandma just had a tiff like 5min before i reached, so i guess they were putting up a nice front cuz i appeared and both had to act cordial before they really wanted to. haha~ oh well, anyways, i appeared with lotsa goodies on hand and i guess they were a little appeased with the nice food that appeared.

then after a while i popped out for a bit to teach M, and we had a good class, or so i thought. teaching M is always so stressfree. she's like one of the nicest and sweetest students who really puts in efforts to listen and follow directions. so i really do enjoy my time teaching her =)

after class at 5pm, i went to TM to get toiletries for the macau trip and stumbled upon a pair of sandals which were comfy and simple but sweet looking - black straps so would match practically everything. it's sorta a casual slip in on wedges but i think it would serve faithfully and be easy to walk in, and that's all that really matters rite? so i guess my new year "new" 1st day is completely covered - a mixture of stuff that was all not meant for new year, but somehow i could dig out "new" stuffs so ya! criteria satisfied!

after that, i went back to my grandma's place to pick up all my things, had a quick shower since i was dying from the heat, and then went out to shop for the rest of the night at parco bugis junction to get gifts for my hosts in macau. dinner was at a little strange coffeeshop opposite bugis and the food was strangely tasteless. like seriously tasteless. i had prawn noodles, which tasted nothing like prawn noodles, so that was kinda sucky. only nice thing was cuz i felt so unsatisfied, we popped over to arab street for teh tarik which always puts a wrong day right. haha~

yeps so that's my long saturday that i had - a tad tiring but many quests accomplished! =)

a quiet friday nite

last class was cancelled 10min before class. *urgh*

so i went to bengawan solo to buy new year goodies for family and friends and got some really nice stuff - cashew cookies, cheese cookies, bankit (for mom) and prune lapis (my favourite).
just for a while, it struck me that this is the first CNY i will be spending away from home, and that no matter how i used to grumble about not liking CNY, it does feel a bit wierd that i won't be waking up to family. maybe that's why i seem a little more involved this new year arranging stuff and agreeing to show up where i'm required to.

anyways, i also popped to ntuc and saw some really nice and fresh cauliflower, so i bought home a huge floret, so dinner will be "cheesy cauliflower stew" with a good slather of creamy butter! *yummy* it's going to be a quiet nite at home =) oh, ghost whisperer starting soon, it's a really sad episode tonite - jim, the most perfect man ever, has just died and melissa will be devestated. *sobs* ok that's all for now folks, going to cry in front of the tv for the next hour...

o levels results announced!

congratulations to D-boy! =) o levels results were announced on monday 2pm and the outcome? great of course! quote "i'm super happy with my results!"

ha! see? now you won't be able to blame me for forcing you to take a maths anymore! it turned out well and useful ya? =) hee hee... for all our cramming sessions, i'm glad everything turned out well for you!

only bad thing that happened? well, our D-boy went to school with handsome long hair + new contacts and the teachers made him go get his hair to well... ah-tut proportions. (what do you expect from old fashioned + style-less teachers trying to be hair stylists?!) so anyways, CNY is just round the corner and let's hope the hair will grow out asap, but in terms of good news, it's going to be ringing for a long time in our family =)

congratulations! we are all so happy for you. now where's my BIG treat! =)

macau/hk trip

some friends have decided to plan a trip for one of our friend's big birthday bash, and everyone's flying in to celebrate with a big bang! but due to some mishaps with planning, my air tix was booked earlier than my request and i end up having to fly and missing the girls' chalet for EH's birthday. *drats* sorry EH! =(

so i will be in flying to macau on the 28jan to macau and will be bunking in with the b'day boy and somewhere around 1st feb we'd be popping into HK to party and countdown for the celebrations, and then sometime later we'll be heading back to macau till 8feb. so that's the tentative plan. oh well, let's hope the trip goes well.

band concert

despite not being a fan of school band concerts, i attended one tonite at singapore conference hall, because my cousin was playing in it. i wasn't suppose to be there, but my aunty pulled out last minute and a spare ticket popped up and i got the chance to be there. i was late though, due to bad traffic, but didn't miss my cousin's segment.

it was a combined school concert so my cousin's school band only played 2 songs. much to our surprise, my cousin actually played a solo passage!and his parents didn't even notice until i pointed out to them! they must be so proud! =) even i felt the pride bubbling up as i watched him... our little boy is growing up! it's really cool cuz he has no training in music before and only picked up his instrument when he joined the band last year upon entering VS. bet my aunty's going to regret missing this! hee hee.

anyways, despite that photography isn't allowed, i got a few shots to remember the event by. well, it's a school function put together by school kids, technically, who the heck cares about photography rights? bleahz.

this is the picture of the entire band playing together. quite a big group of them.

these next 2 pictures were taken at maximum zoom, which i must say, my phone does impress me. after all i was sitting right at the back of the concert hall. the boy nearest to the side, in the first row, is our little hero for the night =) yes, so i took 2 shots, but well, i'm the adoring cousin who spoils them, so that's that!

because i was late, i got there to hear chai chee sec play, and boy, was that awful. the instruments were not even in tune, need i say more? then there was the interval, which i managed to chat with my other cousin and catch up. then came gan eng seng band, which was better, and then all ears perked up for my cousin's school. after that, manjusri band came on, and they were the actual hosts of tonite's show. (all the other schools were just invited bands) i fell asleep. the playing was blaring and boring and i slept through till the end.

after the concert, we went to lao pa sat and had satay and drinks, and talked some more. it was a nice time catching up with family and i so do love them =) anyways, i shall make a resolution to spend more time with them, though it's hard - time's never enough and everyone's always so busy with their own lives =( but i guess this is worth making the effort! after i sent them off in a cab, i took a train and slowly made my way home.

tgif! it's time to party =)

armin van buuren tonite at zouk! thanks brandon for putting our names down and getting us in VIP style! no way i'm queueing all the way outside the club just to wait and get in. *shudders at thot*

so yes, hoping to have a nite of great music... i hope to be pleasantly surprised though AVB tends to be kinda consistent but predictable. anyhows, it's tgif everyone! hey ho, the weekend's here... have fun! =)

oh ya, i intend to wear slippers there tonite, ok so what if i look a tad unglam in flats than in 4inches? slippers are still the most comfy for dancing all nite. hee hee hee...

meeting dear & GPB

had a quick meet up with dear and GPB yesterday after work, but forgot to take pic of us altogether. but we did end up at Soup Spoon for dinner (refer dear's blog for pic of her and yummy food for dinner) and had a speedy chat of updates round the table.

anyways, dear got her brows done! yay! =) my pre-europe-tour gift to you? hee hee... and we went to robinsons to get some stuff for her trip and decided to take abother pic of ourselves to celebrate her new hair and brows! yes, my dear got a trim and now spots fringe! =) ok, so it's side swept here and you might not see it all that clearly in its full glory, but yes, she has fringe!

so all in all, it was a short but fun trip, and yes dear, we shall meet up once more before you fly off. and GPB, we should meet up more this year. it's been like way over 1 or 2 years since we last met and had a chance to properly catch up. thank you both for coming out, let's do this again! =)

big sky

Big Sky - John O'Callagha

I know this silence - been here before.

I'm walking blinded through your door.
This is a sense of things to come,
This innocence... oh, oh.

Breathe in this moment - it's come and gone
Further and faster through your soul.
Open your eyes and breathe some more,
Open your mind... oh, oh.

Release yourself - it's a big sky.
Reveal yourself, it's a big sky.
We love, we leave. We take, we give.
Release yourself - it's a big sky.

It's a big sky...
It's a big sky...

Breathe in this moment.
Breathe in this moment.
Breathe in this moment.
It's a big sky!

Release yourself - it's a big sky.
Reveal yourself, it's a big sky.
We love, we leave. We take, we give.
Release yourself - it's a big sky.

It's a big sky.
We love, we leave. We take, we give.
Release yourself - it's a big sky.
It's a big sky.

couscous

just to share my latest obsession (and answer dear's qn)...

Couscous is a popular middle eastern dish consisting of spherical granules made by rolling and shaping moistened semolina wheat and then coating them with finely ground wheat flour. Couscous is traditionally served under a meat or vegetable stew. It can also be eaten alone, flavoured or plain, warm or cold, as a dessert or a side dish.

sounds complicated? think creamy pasta in the form of fluffy rice =)

what's for brunch?

as part of my daily online chatting routine, whenever someone goes out for or returns from lunch, i would always ask "so what did you have for lunch?", but due to my own schedule, that doesn't quite apply to me, cuz i don't leave home early. so today, while cooking erm brunch (cuz i don't wake up or have appetite for breakfast anyways), i decided to tell the world what i will be having =) well, food's still in the pot by the way. so here's what's for brunch, rain's style!
erm, also for anyone interested in a maid service in her new house and would like to come home to some warm home cooked meals...

savory creamy couscous served with broccoli, chicken meatballs and cheddar cheese chunks

now how good does that sound? =)

09 wishlist

i was asked what my new year resolutions were but i was kinda stumped. initially i thought i wouldn't want resolutions because i never seemed to be able to keep them anyway, but then i had an after thought that it was kinda depressing. so i decided to come up with some wishes instead - resolutions seem so serious, but at least wishes seem to be more hopeful. so i came up with a list of things that i hope to achieve for the future instead, so instead of resolutions, this is my wishlist for the new year.

1. happiness
2. freedom
3. faith
4. wisdom
5. confidence
6. patience
7. love
8. dreams
9. a fulfilling life

sounds cliche i know... but how many people can truly be fulfilled as thus? well impossible i know, but if i could get some place close, i think i could truly be content =)

i'm back!!! =)

dear everyone,

i'm back! online i mean, and yes, i'm back for good. nopes my HP lappy isn't recovered yet, but i hope it will very soon, but i've gone and gotten myself a smaller 10.1" lappy that's easy to bring around and keep me connected all day long.

and the best thing? it's all white! finally! i have a white lappy! tis been my dream for the longest time! happiness~~~

so what did i get? it's a MSI Wind - 1.6GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD + 6 cell battery. not too bad right? (and the name's kinda befitting too... wind and rain...lolz)

ok my sweeties, now charging up the new battery, see you in 8hours! =)

wintery shanghai (1)

it was in december 2008 that i received one of the greatest gifts ever - an invitation to join my dear friend in shanghai for a 10day trip. well, she was there for work, and i was basically erm... bumming around. haha~~~ we had an amazing time together, laughing, chilling in the room, exploring new places, walking (yes i mean a lot a lot of walking), eating (what's new!), shopping and basically getting a chance to catch up and enjoy the company of each other.

anyways, here are the pics (for the viewing pleasure of everyone). sorry, no long entry plus commentary cuz my com's whacked and i'm only able to get online cuz i'm borrowing my cousin's com for a couple of hours.

the first day when we arrived, it was sunny and hot and we were wandering around in short sleeved tees. but as time passed, the weather became colder and we started to put on a few more pieces of clothes to get all bundled up and soaking up the cool weather. so here's us all warm and cosy =)

this is us at a noodles place having really cheap and big bowl noodles. i mean super huge bowl noodles, i couldn't even finish mine!!! ok there was a huge portion of noodles but only a few thin slices of meat. mutton noodles was rmb10 and beef noodles rmb6 - nothing we could complain of! haha~~~ i forgot to take a pic (probably cuz we were too excited) but we also ordered dumplings thinking there'd be about 8-10 pieces, but it came in a freaking plate of 25. cheap food, cheap food, cheap food!!!

ok this looks blurry cuz i was actually taking a picture of our own reflection in KFC one afternoon. we were at nanjing lu area and while EH ate, i was messing around and taking pics. see how colour coordinated we were? well, i bought my shirt on my own, and when my mom was in penang on holiday, she bought EH a jacket and what a coincidence! these 2 pieces of clothings turned out to be the same colour! haha. so sweet! =)

ok so i said we were at KFC right? so while we were innocently eating and chatting, there was this scary person who walked in, much to our shock and amazement. so while pretending to take EH's pic, i caught a pic of this woman so as to share with everyone. well, what can i say? welcome to china!!!
